What is a star map?

The night sky above a place on a specific night, with stars, constellations and horizon, calculated for date and time. A night that happened exactly once, brought onto the wall.

Who is it for?

Which date?

The day it all began. For some couples that is the first date, for others the first kiss, for some the wedding. Choose the date you both celebrate. If you have two dates, there is the double star map with both nights side by side.

Is the sky really accurate?

Yes. We calculate the positions of the brightest stars from the Hipparcos catalogue for place, date and time and draw the constellation lines — the sky exactly as you would have seen it with the naked eye that night. A date from twenty years ago is rendered just as exactly.

What do I write on it?

Place, date and coordinates appear automatically; the last line is yours. For anniversaries most often: “The evening it all began”, “Our first night”, both names with “since” and the year, “Where we found each other”, “A thousand stars, only one for me”.

Three designs — which one suits your wall?

All three variants share the same white typography and the same photorealistic moon phase. They differ only in the background — and therefore in how the poster feels in a room. You pick the design in the configurator and see it in the preview right away.

  • Midnight (default): deep night blue, almost black, with cool grey secondary text. Reads like a clear night sky and works with white walls, light wood, and both black and white frames.
